Muscat Airport Taxi

A ride to downtown Muscat takes around 15 minutes.

Important

Be especially careful with drivers since rates are not fixed and it will be necessary to negotiate them. On the other hand, it is wise to carry along with you a map of the area since some drivers are not Oman natives and do not know the short-cuts to your destination.  

For a better comfort, passengers can also ask to their hotel to arrange taxi transportation or simply to inform them about how much they should expect to pay for a ride.

Taxis are conveniently located outside the terminal building.

Booking

Taxis can be booked and prepaid at the Muscat International Airport Taxi Counter in the public Arrivals. 

Booking can also be made online or by phone. 

Companies

Mwasalat taxi is the only service available at Muscat Airport.

Fares

You should expect to pay around 20.00 RO for a one-way ride to downtown Muscat. 

Taxis are currently not required to have meters so it is recommended to agree on the fare with the driver first before departing.
